This simple to read, charming little number, enlightened me in the fundamental basics of creating a healthy Search Engine Guidelines.
The book, “S.E.O. 2014 & Beyond Search Engine Optimization Will Never Be The Same”, by Dr. Andy Williams, gave me the insights and know who’s to confidently move forward with my optimizing strategy.
The book speaks of the dividing the strategy into four main parts:
Everyone knows that content is a must have, but the effort it takes to get that shared and cared for is another matter.
You don’t have to be a writer to write, all it takes for real value and quality to shine is the genuine, natural tone of your own voice.
You might think quality means putting out as much as you can and hoping for results to surface.
Think quality over quantity when creating content.
People will connect to a person that shows empathy or stability before they connect with a someone just typing a piece because it’s their routine.
I learned a big lesson when reading this section of the book. Let me explain.
It’s about categorizing and tagging out a website.
The category is considered the table of contents of your website.
Tags are another way to structure content, Extra classification, to further order the piece of writing.
Say I have a post called Search Marketing basics | 10 Tips Checklist for better optimizing results, what would be some tags you would use?
Use tags to further the classification of your post.
When folks come to your site, they will be able to narrow down their choice by category, Main on-site navigation, usually in the Nav. Bar at the top somewhere.
Then, when looking for a more specific feature of a site, they will use tags to locate what they are searching for.
Are you an expert in your field and if you are not, how do I establish my site as an authority site?
Experts will have it easy because naturally, you will speak of the industry’s best words to show you know what you’re doing and talking about.
Beginners might be tackling the learn as they go process, so they will be a little less confident in writing powerful words so what I suggest is to show, present, demonstrate authority by creating a better answer than the previous know it all expert.
Make sure when visitors visit your site, that they have something to consume like your Website Cornerstone Concepts:
Products and Service Page
What’s your mission, vision or company page?(different than About Pg.)
Do you have a Marketing Funnel established to generate leads, collect information, build that list?
The Most important, where is your relevant value driven content? Or Blog Roll?
Add a 5-10 video on the topic matter to give some actionable info.
Images that speaks sweet nothings in my ears.
Feed lazy by adding bullet points, sub-headings, and more images, for the multiple scanners online today.
Simple concept, put effort, value, quality of the work, with a human tone that shows empathy for the person searching, the authority will be gained.
Then comes the real currency online today……
What’s in it for them?
Marketing 101, Copywriting Basics most important tip, your businesses goals, aspirations and results, all need to be about one thing…
What’s in it for the customer?
The client, visitor, reader, hot leads, what does the client gain by doing business with you? And why not pick someone else’s business,
just a few websites down the road?
You stand out by, once again, the voice you use to type with.
If you take all the graphics, techy stuff and shiny buttons away from a site, you are left with text to communicate.
Write natural content with your own bloody fingertips that speak of the answer to the question or query that the reader was searching for.
Add value, effort, and quality by presenting other elements to stimulate the brain or eyes, or ears. Actionable content.
There ain’t no sense in getting traffic if you don’t have a lead generating process up and running. Or Sales Funnel
Better yet answer these questions:
Who is it?
What do they want?
What answer do they need to hear?
What do they want to ask me?
It was a blessing to come across this book, because of the simple, easy to follow insights.
That guides you in the right direction when it comes to search engine optimizing is a moving target, so what you learn now might become a penalty in six months.
I didn’t know much about the topic before reading this but after, I grasp a foundational knowledge of S.E.O.
My mission has never changed I will help you create the kind of audience focused presence online that helps you reach your business goals…
You will learn that success online is not only simple and easy, but fun.
