Beginners tackling the task of understanding what Search Engine Optimization means is quite easy and smooth to imply when simplicity is used.
Learning the fundamental practices of optimizing a website for the keyword or keyword phrase you want to be ranked for, is a critical tactic every successful Digital Media marketer has to endure.
Search Engine Optimization basically means taking fundamental practices to optimize your content for people first, search engines second.
Now the conception of this marketing strategy really has been destroyed badly by the industry and people in the industry.
Beginners, even experts, get misguided information or just don’t learn at all, so they either skip the process or start looking for shortcuts and easy buttons.
Falling for instant income investments,(Nine billion dollars in three hrs., click on my face for details) will lead you to heartbreaks and headaches.
Let’s commence on becoming confident in your S.E.O.strategies, how important yet simple to understand the process is and how devastating it can be if you are misguided from the beginning.
Actual Elementary “My Dear Watson”
First, here’s a rundown of recent Google changes to the algorithm that completely changed the way we need to think about this element of our business moving forward.
In 2011, this update was introduced to completely wipe out copied content from this virtual planet.
Hiring crappy content writers from third world countries, spinning content or scraping are just a few practices that don’t help anybody, not even the guy that writes this craziness.
About a year later, this cold creature was designed to target bad link structure, on-page optimizing and a lot of people don’t know but domain names took a hit as well.
Exact Match Domains or E.M.D., do not work like they use to, so don’t waste your time.
Here’s one example of this tortured process:
Find a keyword rich domain name that has low computation with high search results.
Hire crappy writer that writes content for website and keyword stuffing the hell out of it.
Backlink blasting the site with crappy links to a crappy site.
They nailed this method of cheating the system, to the wall.
And it’s about time…
Google has finally waged a war on spammy, crappy, non-useful web pages that really just stink up the place.
It’s a waste of time if you want to battle the beast we know as Google-sphere with tricky and sneaky approaches to SEO.
There is a simple answer for this, just don’t do it.
Finally, the latest animal, unleashed a takeover of the old search engine, leaving all S.E.O. suckers behind.
Named because of the speed and accuracy of this bird, this completely changes the way me, you and Google, search or index website pgs.
A change like since hasn’t happened in over a decade, but rapidly people evolve in a decade, so they just wanted to keep up.
Conversation and mobile friendly searches were giving them a problem.
Now, they determine searcher intent and returning pages that best fits that intent. Who, what, and where, are we really looking for?
Old engine matches best keywords in the phrase.
New engine, explains who, what, where and how.
But, Google isn’t the only search engine you say?
Well, it should be….
Who owns the biggest market of search online?
Where does 80% of people really go to find the real information on the internet?
When you first heard or found out about the internet years ago, name me the first three things you heard about?
I will answer this last one myself, giving you my example of a conversation with myself.
“Wow, this World Wide Web thing is amazing.”
“How can I use this search engine gadget?”
“What the heck is a Google?”
Oh, and do you know who is the second biggest search engine, on this great planet we call Earth?
look it up…..
Oh, and where are you going to look this up at?
I rest my case.
Focus On Tomorrow And Today
The modern-day optimizing experts are still not on the same page when discussing optimizing sites.
Even when Google gives us guidelines to follow here, you still have knuckleheads cheating the system,
rubbish about ranking first for Google within twenty-four hours.
You have to earn this…
There is no such thing as a quick fix.
Search engines, especially people, are really looking for quality content that is useful to the individuals that are searching for answers.
It is said that we live in the information era, that we are the most informed generation the world as ever seen.
So, why not start using good reliable content, to market in the information era? Just makes sense. right?
100% of optimizing anything is so much easier if you just write solid informative information that people can conformably read, engage with, maybe add some advice on the subject.
I have basically broken down modern-day S.E.O. into four areas that will withstand the test of time and you can concentrate your efforts on this year.
Good Solid Quality Content
You can never go wrong, creating solid information people are desperately looking for daily.
Reliable, useful information draws users to your site, building that Authority and Trust, automatically Google starts trusting you as well.
Create for visitors not Spiders
It needs to read smoothly, with grammar and spelling in check. Also, don’t try to keyword stuff the writings.
The rule is,
Whatever keyword density occurs naturally when an expert in their field writes an article.
Check out the Top 10 pages of the keywords/phrases that you want to rank for. These are the pages you need to add value to.
Every article you write will have its own niche vocabulary.
Use different niche related vocabulary when possible. Don’t just keep using words like blogging, S.E.O., or Social Media. Add some personality or edginess to the mix.
Use digital writings, optimize my face, or social mingling with maniacs for example. Only when it makes sense, though.
There’re a couple different definitions for this but the one that fits our purpose is,
Accepted source of expert information or advice.
A well-optimized site with spectacular content is barking up the right tree but you need more.
Being well known in your niche is a benefit but how do we do this as beginners to the industry?
Here’re some tips:
- Have your site name or face available on as many relevant, high-quality sites that you can, linking back to similar pages on your site. Be careful, make sure sites make sense and don’t overdo it. Google is on the prowl for crazy back linking structures so be careful.
- When referencing other sites, write like a someone would want to read it. It looks more authoritative and brings more value to your site.
- Images themselves just completely slaughter sites without them and a lot of folks are still using stock photos or John Doe with gold teeth gleaming. Free, Free, Free all over the place. Silly, people. Be totally abstract and personal with this tactic, the feeling is just supreme if you’re not being fake.
The approach of structuring your website is extremely vital to not only search engines but humans as well.
Good organization together with a clear and spontaneous navigation system is essential.
Doesn’t it make sense that all related articles are easily accessible when people visit your site?
It also helps search engines index your pages faster, helping with load speed.
Tags, Internal linking, and quality links are things I will dissect later, I just wanted to give you a broad view for now.
Back linking is kind of important
The new back linking is social media, period. Without spamming the crap out of people, share your content like real people should, with common sense and decency.
On your blog, leave comments ON. A lot of people don’t do this and it’s just another way of connecting to your audience.
Use the title of the page, domain name or URL for back linking the most.
Quality rather than Quantity
A hand full of quality links back to your site will do more for your rankings then hundreds or thousands of crazy, unrelated, ugly, spammy, links will do.
Remember when back linking, vary your text link by using title or URL of the site.
What’s In It For Me?
The overall main purpose for all your business related adventures online should keep the customer in full sight, at all times…
Whether it being posts/articles, images, videos, this tactic, or that strategy, we need to pleasure the audience.
Whatever you do, don’t forget this.
Product By Design
Make your website stick out by design.
Free designs work well but people notice free themes.
Pro or Premium themes really do make a difference.
Flexible features, customization, just really gives you the ability to personalize your website and have total control.
Don’t be scared to buy themes, from reliable sources. Think, old engine, new car on this one.
Multimedia Wrapped Around Gum
The stickiness of your website is measured by bounce rate, how fast someone bounces back to Google after visiting your site, and time on site.
To help with the stickiness of your site, add images that tell the story but without all the cheese.
Don’t use stock photos, money on fire, pics that look tacky or images that dilute the message.
Use abstract images that tell the story but shows it off thinking “outside the box”.
Also, add videos to your site. If you can’t get readers to read your content, have an option to watch a video on your topic.
Fantastic images and videos help visitors stay on your site longer, draws interest and curiosity that will have them coming back for more insights.
Optimizing websites are not difficult when you think long-term strategy. People should come first, no matter what you do online.
That’s who’s going to be reading and making decisions on purchasing or sharing your material.
Easy Fix People Will Read
Search engines are essential to targeting your audience, getting ranked, and being found on this super highway of information we live with.
BUT, without people, you have no internet or search engine for that matter.
Thanks again for reading. Please, find me on the mingling market if you have any concerns.
